We built Kerlingis to help families manage allowance and chores in a way that is simple, safe, and transparent. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account info: parent name, email, and password (hashed).
• Family info you add: child names or nicknames, chores, rewards, allowance settings, balances, and activity history.
• App usage and device data: basic diagnostics and analytics to improve performance and reliability.

How we use data

• Provide the service: create accounts, show balances, track chores, and process allowance payouts inside the app.
• Improve and support: fix bugs, protect against abuse, and make Kerlingis easier to use.
• Communicate with you: account notices, security alerts, and service updates.

Kids’ privacy

Kerlingis is designed for parents and guardians to manage kid profiles. Kids use the app under a parent’s account and supervision. We don’t require children’s email or phone numbers to use the core features.

Data sharing

We don’t sell your personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help us run Kerlingis (for example, authentication or analytics), under contracts that require them to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we need to keep certain records for security, compliance, or legal reasons.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
