Welcome to Kerlingis. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and apps. By creating an account or using Kerlingis, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Kerlingis

You must be an adult with legal authority to create and manage a family account. Kid profiles are created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

2. Your account

• Keep your account information accurate and your password secure.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account, including actions taken by invited adults and kid profiles.
• Tell us right away if you think your account was accessed without permission.

3. Family profiles and content

You may add kid names (or nicknames), chores, rewards, allowance settings, and other family content. You retain any rights to your content. You give Kerlingis permission to use this content solely to operate and improve the service.

4. Allowance and payments

Kerlingis provides an allowance tracking experience. Real payment rails are not required to use core features. If you choose to connect payment methods later, additional terms may apply.

5. Acceptable use

• Don’t break the law, abuse the service, or interfere with others’ use.
• Don’t attempt to reverse engineer or bypass security features.
• Only upload content you have the right to use and that is appropriate for families.

6. Ending or changing the service

You can stop using Kerlingis at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or end the service or your access if you violate these Terms or for other legitimate reasons. We may change features or these Terms; if we make material changes, we’ll let you know.

7. Disclaimers

Kerlingis is provided “as is.” We don’t make guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Some features may be in beta and can change.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Kerlingis and its affiliates won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or $0 if you haven’t paid).

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws where Kerlingis operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
